Mobile Banking App Privacy Policy
This Mobile Banking Application Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) applies to users of the Alseraj Islamic Bank Mobile Banking Application (the “App” or the “Application”).
For your convenience, Alseraj Islamic Bank offers you the ability to access certain products and services through our Mobile Banking App. The App may request access to information stored on your device (such as location, camera, contacts, or other features you enroll in) to enrich and simplify your user experience, improve our services, and enhance account security.
Alseraj Islamic Bank is committed to protecting your privacy. This Notice, together with other relevant privacy notices provided to you under applicable laws and regulations, explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our Mobile Banking App.
1. Agreement to Notice
By downloading or using the Alseraj Islamic Bank Mobile Banking App, you consent to this Privacy Notice, including our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described herein.
2. Gathering, Using, and Sharing Information
We may collect the following types of information when you use the App:
- Personal information you provide voluntarily, such as your name, address, phone number, and email.

This Notice does not cover information processing by third parties outside the App.

Alseraj Islamic Bank employs administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Key measures include:

- Multi-factor authentication, including secure codes sent to your registered device when a new or unrecognized device attempts login (also known as out-of-band authentication).

7. Protecting Children’s Privacy
This App is not designed for, nor intended to attract, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or market information to minors.

This Notice may be updated from time to time. Any changes will take effect once posted on the App. Continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy, and any dispute, claim, or matter relating to its application or interpretation between the Bank and its customers or domestic parties within the State of Libya, shall be governed by the laws in force in Libya, and the Libyan courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear such disputes. Disputes arising with external parties or service providers who are non-residents of Libya shall be finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the Rules of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). The arbitration shall take place in Cairo, and Libyan law shall apply.
